While laypeople naturally hope that they will never have to use CPR, it is well worth having the knowledge and skill in case an emergency ever comes up. It could make the difference between life and death. Proper application of CPR or BLS can also help to prevent severe brain damage that can occur when the brain is deprived of oxygen. This can easily happen while waiting for an ambulance to arrive if no one is able to perform CPR. CPR and BLS are essential life skills to have, and they are proven to save lives.
If you need to have your BLS or CPR certificate renewed, NorCal Emergency Medical Training classes in Sacramento will provide this for you.
Renewing your CPR certification means that you are up to date on the latest CPR and BLS instructions, and also that you have the knowledge of how to perform these life-saving maneuvers fresh in your mind. In a moment of stress and panic, when someone is on the floor without a pulse, you need to be able to help without freezing, becoming confused, or wondering if you are remembering your training correctly. At NorCal Emergency Medical Training, we use research-proven teaching techniques such as Practice While Watching, where you practice the skills you learn in class while our instructors guide you and help you perfect your technique.
