Q: Are you American Heart Association certified?
A: Yes, we are a certified Training Center through the American Heart Association and only use AHA guidelines.
Q: Do I have to purchase a course textbook?
A: Yes, according to the American Heart Association, all students must have access to a textbook.
Q: Can I take these courses entirely online?
A: No. The American Heart Association requires all courses to have an in person skills evaluation in order to be accredited through AHA. However, the AHA offers a hybrid course called “HeartCode” that allows you to purchase the cognitive online simulation and evaluation. Once your online course is completed, you must complete an in person skills evaluation with your local American Heart Association certified training facility to obtain a certification card.
Q: Do you cancel classes?
A: We do not cancel classes due to low attendance. However, in the rare event of an unforeseen emergency that requires a class to be canceled, we will notify participants as soon as possible and offer a rescheduling option that best accommodates your availability.
Q: When will I receive my certification card?
A: You will receive your American Heart Association ecard via email within 24 to 48 hours of your class. Although rare, please allow for extra time over a weekend or major holiday.
Q: What happens if I register for a class and cannot attend?
A: If you register for a class and are unable to attend, we will be happy to work with you at your earliest convenience to reschedule and transfer your funds to another class. We kindly ask that you let us know as soon as possible so we can offer your spot to someone else who may be waiting to join.
Q: Do you offer Continuing Education Units?
A: Yes, we offer CE credits through the California Board of Registered Nursing, the Dental Board of California, and the California Emergency Medical Services Authority.
