CPR is a skill that you hope to never have to use. We all hope that we will never experience a medical emergency where we have to do chest compressions to be able to save someone’s life.

However, medical emergencies do happen and you cannot predict them. That is why it is important to be prepared and to know how to respond to a medical emergency.

CPR AED training will teach you how and when to do chest compressions and rescue breaths, how to use an AED, what to do when a child or adult is choking, and what to do in other medical emergencies. CPR is an easy technique to learn and it can absolutely save lives. You do not have to be strong to do it, because you use your body weight to give the compressions instead of pushing down with your muscles. You do not have to be medically trained to save a life; all you have to do is know how and when to give CPR.

Your CPR certification needs to be renewed every 2 years to remain current.

This is because you will hopefully not have had to use it, and skills that are not practiced get forgotten. In an ideal world, the only time you ever gave chest compressions and rescue breaths would be in a classroom, to a dummy. But when someone starts having a heart attack in a public place, you need to know what to do right then, instead of trying to remember what you learned fifteen years ago in your one and only CPR class. Keep your CPR certification up to date and you will be able to be calm and collected in a medical emergency situation. It might make the difference of a life.
