BLS stands for “Basic Life Support.” It is a more in-depth form of our CPR Training Class that has more detailed knowledge than a basic CPR course. Of course, for healthcare providers, this in-depth knowledge is absolutely necessary. With BLS training from NorCal Emergency Medical Training, you will be able to handle medical emergencies and save people.

Students will learn to identify emergency situations and what to do in each of them. Accurate responses are critical to providing good first aid. When you can see what is going on with a patient who has a medical emergency, you can provide the care that patient needs to be able to survive.

Even for a healthcare provider in Sacramento, Roseville, and Rancho Cordova, a medical emergency is an extremely frightening and stressful situation. It is common for people to freeze up as part of the fight, flight, or freeze response. As a result, it is very common for people either to make mistakes. People may misunderstand what is wrong with the patient who is having a medical emergency, or they may be able to accurately assess the situation but then fail to give the right treatment. The BLS course from NorCal Emergency Medical Training helps you learn to identify life-threatening medical emergencies and respond to them immediately.

If you have already had BLS training and you need to renew your certification, this is the class for you as well. It is important to review this information regularly, especially if you have not had to use the knowledge between certifications. CPR and BLS are skills we hope not to have to use, but when we need them the knowledge needs to be immediately accessible. Whether you are learning BLS for the first time or renewing your certification on skills you have known for years, NorCal Emergency Medical Training has the excellent instruction for you.
